Iain Cherry is the Group’s Director of Business Development. He joined the Group in March 2021, following more than 14 years working in the legal industry. Iain’s experience saw him delve into all types of litigation funding, insurance products and specific scheme building, but his speciality lay in the personal injury and clinical negligence market.

Alongside identifying new merger and acquisition opportunities that could strengthen the Group portfolio, Iain works closely with existing Clients from a range of law firms and Court of Protection teams, as well as indidividual deputies and other complementary businesses, to understand their pain points within the industry and set new operations in motion that see their needs met.

Through the development of new products for professional Clients, overseen by Iain and his team, firms and deputies are continually able to produce better outcomes for their end Clients who are going through some of life’s worst experiences. The Group’s pre-settlement services ensure the best possibile financial payout for Clients in court, whilst its post-settlement work ensures that every Client is thoroughly looked after and supported, long after the court case has been closed, to improve their overall quality of life.

These results are put in motion by firms and deputies but are made possible by the services offered by Frenkel Topping Group – and this was a key driver in Iain’s decision to take on the role as the Group’s Director of Business Development.

Iain states that he was drawn to the Frenkel Topping Group in part due its fantastic growth potential and reputation but also largely for its genuine concern for Clients – always putting the end Client at the forefront of everything they do. This year Iain has swapped his usual golf club for running shoes in preparation for the Manchester Marathon, which he will be running in aid of the The Lullaby Trust, a charity that supports bereaved families who have lost a child to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
