The opportunity

We are looking for an Office Administrator, someone who either has experience or someone that is new to the role and is willing to learn. The role requires a detail-orientated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. 

What you will be doing

The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to our experienced team of health and social care professionals, who support clients throughout the North West, North Wales and North East who have suffered a catastrophic injury, together with general office administrative support.

All work undertaken must be compliant with Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). The organisation’s confidentiality policy must be adhered to at all times. 

Key responsibilities

  • General administration: photocopying, collation and preparation of necessary documentation, word-processing and telephone communications. 
  • Record management: carrying out the filing and appropriate storage of documents.
  • Maintenance of records: ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures for document management. 
  • ​Customer service: including but not limited to support to Case Managers in the maintenance and updating of client and support worker records and files.
  • ​Project coordination: assisting in the development and management of computer systems and spreadsheets for the maintenance and collation of information.
  • External communication: with agencies responsible for the supplying of support workers for our clients.
  • Recruitment: liaison with agencies under the guidance of the Case Manager to support the recruitment of support staff.
  • Co-ordination: monitoring and maintain compliance of supports worker documents, e.g. DBS, driving licence checks, training records.

Essential skills

  • English and Maths qualification at GCSE level or equivalent. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Display self-motivation, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Possess a flexible approach to work. 
  • Basic knowledge of office management procedures.

Working conditions

  • Full time position with standard office hours – 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • ​Based on The Wirral, Egerton House, Birkenhead.
