We are seeking to recruit a full-time Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our experienced team.
Purpose:
The main purpose of this role is to provide business development data, insight, and analysis (business intelligence) to support decision making and improve business performance
Key responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsibility for producing business reporting and dashboards to help colleagues monitor, control and make decisions that improve business development performance.
- Facilitating the use of data, reporting and dashboards in colleague’s day to day roles.
- Taking colleagues BI requirements and turning them into tangible deliverables.
- Leading on the production of external reporting for business partners.
- Developing a good understanding of Frenkel Topping source data, documenting this and improving data management over time.
- Creating and maintaining a data “wiki” to manage the organisations data model and agreed definitions of calculated data e.g., conversions. The Wiki should be available to colleagues so that they can understand and interpret data correctly.
- Documenting and reviewing processes in relation to data capture and data quality, identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiency or data quality.
- Ensuring and maintaining Quality of Data for the organisation.
- Helping to protect the organisation through proactive data governance. This is delivered by reducing data security and privacy risks, putting in place controls to protect client data and championing improvements to data security and privacy.
- Supporting the role out, adoption and reporting from the Group CRM (Microsoft Dynamics). This includes sales, CRM and Marketing data quality improvements, insight generation and analysis.
- Providing support and training for end user in relation to data capture or analysis.
- Providing escalation support to the services desk team where relevant.
Person specification:
Knowledge & experience:
- Experience of care case management and professional services environment.
- Working with case management systems and service provision to clients.
- Legal or financial services environment with complex systems and processes.
- Applications support with complex line of business systems that require configuration, template development, workflow design and problem resolution.
- 1st line support knowledge on a wide range of EUC and application technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of M365 administration.
- Incident management, problem resolution, change management and release management of EUC and applications e.g., ITIL experience or something similar.
Skills & abilities:
- Capturing data and reporting requirements from colleagues and delivering automated solutions. Ideally in Power BI.
- Facilitating change using data and insight.
- Helping Business Development team grow the business through a mixture of support, training and influencing.
- Tenacity in driving results from BI suppliers.
- Driving continual improvement in data quality.
- Provides insightful analysis that helps colleagues make better decisions.
- Removing ambiguity, explaining technical data problems in a way that business user can understand.
Personal qualities:
- Client service ethic.
- Being an ambassador for continual improvement of data quality, insights, and analysis.
- Passionate about data and the business insight it can provide.
- Desire to understand the detail and document how things work.
Education & training:
- BI technology certification. Ideally in Power BI
- Statistics/mathematical qualification.
- Computer science and coding experience.
