Ascencia Investment Management is part of the Frenkel Topping Group, an organisation which for over 30 years has given expert financial and investment advice specialising in, although not limited to, assisting victims of personal injury and clinical negligence. Ascencia was founded in 2016, born out of Frenkel Topping’s search for a collaborative DFM to develop a bespoke solution for their client base, largely made up of clients who have been awarded a settlement as a result of professional negligence or personal injury.
We are seeking to recruit an Investment Administrator to join our team.
Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to provide an administrative support function to the Ascencia Investment Management team.
This includes the production of technical information, together with onboarding new clients, providing illustrations, investing and monitoring of new business and portfolio switches, ensuring they are held in the correct investment strategy and supporting the management team in producing AUM information.
Key responsibilities
- Knowledge of Fusion/7IM/Hubwise platforms.
- Liaise directly with IFAs on a regular basis.
- Implement model portfolio strategy changes on various platforms.
- Preparation of illustrations on Hubwise platform.
- Invest and monitor new business cases through to engagement letter to IFA.
- Keep new business, withdrawal and investment tracker excel spreadsheets up to date.
- Complete withdrawal/strategy switch and full surrender requests in timely manner.
- Monitor transfers through to completion.
- Provide end of month figures of capital inflows/outflows to the management team.
- Liaise with platform providers to resolve investment/platform issues.
- Produce performance data using FE Analytics.
- Assist with preparation of factsheets and information sheets for all products.
- Assist with data collection for weekly and quarterly newsletters.
Person specification
Experience
- Experience in using standard MS Office software products including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience in technical administration.
- Investment administration experience.
Skills & abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including legal representatives.
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Have a keen eye for detail and an exceptional level of accuracy when producing documents and inputting data.
