Specialist financial and professional services firm, Frenkel Topping Group, (FTG) has announced the appointment of Gillian Carlisle-Collett as Head of Operations for N-Able – the firm they acquired in 2022.

With a career spanning more than 20 years in the insurance and legal sector – including with DWF, Hill Dickinson, Fletchers and Napthens – Gillian, a qualified lawyer, brings her expertise in strategy development and implementation to grow FTG’s care and case management division which includes N-Able and Keystone Case Management.

As Head of Operations for N-Able, Gillian will play a key role in the continued integration of the group’s care and case management firms, cementing its position as one of the largest case management providers in the UK.

N-Able provides Case Manager and Care Expert reports focussing on specialist, bespoke rehabilitation and lifestyle programmes tailored to the specific needs of each of its clients. Founded in 2002 in response to the growing demand for bespoke, specialist Case Management services to support those who had experienced catastrophic injuries, N-Able was acquired by Frenkel Topping Group in 2022.

Keystone Case Management was launched by Frenkel Topping Group in 2021to provide clinically-led assessment and management of complex health and social care needs to individuals and the families of those who have suffered catastrophic, life-changing injuries.

Together, Keystone, N-Able and Somek are driving the group’s vision to deliver a fresh and creative approach to achieve the best health and social care outcomes for clients.

Gillian’s appointment comes as Frenkel Topping Group continues its strategy of consolidating the personal injury and clinical negligence market, to deliver consistently high standards of service across every touch point in the pre- and post-litigation journey.

The move brings Gillian back to the personal injury sector with a personal passion for catastrophic injury clients after her husband suffered an acquired brain injury (ABI) and spinal injury after a fall from height in 2023.

Gillian said: “I’m a believer in things happening for a reason. I’ve come back into the personal injury space with my own personal story driving me. I’ve been there with a partner in intensive care and the worry that goes with that. I know every injury is different but having that experience to inform my perspective is really valuable in this role.

“I have known of Frenkel Topping over the last 20 years and I have seen their expansion beyond financial advice. The role with N-Able as part of the larger group lends itself to my background in law, in commercial growth and in change management and my recent experience of personal injury impacting my family made it feel like the right opportunity for me.”

Richard Fraser, CEO of Frenkel Topping Group said: “I am delighted to welcome Gillian to the group. She is a well-regarded leader in professional services, with a unique skillset spanning law, commercial and operational. She is also a brilliant people person and an enormous advocate of the charity work we do through the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation.”

In April this year Gillian completed the Mersey Tunnel 10k to raise funds for the North West Air Ambulance who rescued her husband after a life-threatening fall from 30ft left him with multiple and complex injuries.

Gillian said: “It was truly remarkable to witness how every step in this chain of care played a vital role in giving Gary a second chance at life. The role of the care and case manager after a life-changing injury is so important. That’s why I’m so glad to have found this role with Frenkel Topping Group. I’ve received the warmest of welcomes. I know I am in the right place.”
